Sandy earned a Master of Arts degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and currently works full-time as an exercise physiologist at Merck and Co. in West Point, PA. She is also a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and aerobics instructor from the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA).

Sandy completed her Highland Dance teacher’s certification through the British Association of Teachers of Dance at the age of 16 and has enjoyed teaching dancers of all ages and abilities for the last eleven years. Her enthusiasm for dance is boundless, as she is rewarded by seeing her students strive for their personal best. In 2007, Sandy and her husband relocated to Chester Springs, PA, at which time she was pleased to join the Reid School of Highland Dance as Co-Director. She continues to train and compete as a Scottish highland dancer under the instruction of the Director, Linda Reid Tarpy.
