Consignment Sale

A great way to start the new year is looking for outfits and accessories at our Saturday consignment sale. This year’s consignment sale will be a bit different than in the past. We’ve made some changes based on feedback we have received and believe that it will be a better experience for the buyers and the sellers. Here are some of the key points for this year’s consignment sale:

  • Pre-registration of items to be sold. This will be done using a web form, link at bottom of page.
  • Fill out the registration form for each item that you are selling. A label will be generated from your registration information. It will provide buyers with a clear label that contains all the information they need .
  • Deadline for pre-registration will be Wednesday, Feb 3, 2010. All data received by this date will be charged the usual 10%  consignment fee. After this date the fee will rise to 20%.
  • Item labels should be picked-up Friday night between 6pm and 8 pm. Please attach the labels and store the items in your room until the morning.
  • If you know you will be arriving late on Friday or not until Saturday morning, please contact Diana prior to Feb 3, 2010 at sell@highlanddanceworkshop.com so arrangements can be made for your item labels.
  • Morning drop off of items in the consignment area will be from 7 am until 7:45 am.
  • Please bring all costume/clothing items on hangers. Tartan hose should be in a baggie and safety pinned to the costume or hanger. Shoes should be tied together (ghillies, jig shoes etc.)
  • The morning breaks between classes will be extended to 10 minutes to allow time for dancers to try on outfits. Dancers may not leave class to try-on outfits.
  • Sale items will not be held till lunch time. If your held item is not tried on during the break, it will be returned to the racks. Example: If you put an item on hold at 9 am and do not have your dancer try it on at the next break, it will be returned to the racks. This allows sellers and customers a fair chance at selling and purchasing an item.
  • The sale will run on Saturday between 8:15 am and 2 pm.
  • Pick up time for unsold items is 3 pm.
